Good
Karma in a Karmann Ghia
Smooth
as a
Baby's Bum. It's not a car, Seriously, it is a Karmann Ghia! The
Karmann Ghia, one of the world's most recognised car, considering the
car has been out of production for 30 years. When you drive a Karmann
Ghia, you will grin when most drivers give you a thumbs up, or high
five at the traffic light. Especially since the Karmann Ghia is going
up in value every year, they are a very sound investment especially
with quality restorations. The Karmann Ghia is also a favourite to the
little kids who always wave at you, especially from School Bus
windows.
The Karmann Ghia has been a movie favorite for years. Seen in such
Movies,TV Series, Commercials, and Print Ads. "Get Smart", "Kill
Bill 2",
"Aquamarine",
"Stormin Home", "Top Gun", "The Persuaders",
"The Rock", "Star Trek IV", "Sharp TV Commercial", "If I Should
Die Before I Wake". James Bond "Octopussy" and "Dr. No" "Starsky
and Hutch" National Australia Bank Commercial, Amex Print Ad, Channel
10 30 second spot for Raymond. Recent un-confirmed Music Video. Here is

A little bit of History:
The Volkswagen Karmann Ghia.
Designed by Ghia Studios in Turin Italy, built by the Karmann
Factory in Germany, and powered and marketed by Volkswagen from 1955 to
1974.
Approximately 467,056 Karmann Ghias were built in the 19 years of
production. The
Karmann Ghia is one of the few automobiles in the world that were hand
built, by very
experienced auto body craftsmen at the Karmann factory in Osnabruck Germany. The
Karmann
Ghia coupe was only imported to Australia between 1960 and 1969 by
Volkswagen Australia. Here
is a link to
additional history of the Karmann Ghia. Have a read

Here is one mounted on my Red Cabriolet
The Karmann Ghia in Australia is a very
rare car, and thus only a few coupes were ever
imported to Australia between 1960-1969. The value of a Karmann Ghia is
much higher in
Australia as
compared to the rest of the world due to the limited number of Ghias in
Australia,
especially the Ghia Cabriolet. In 1974 only 1,800 convertible Karmann
Ghias were produced including LHD, and RHD world wide.
